The Clinics
Clinics at Northwestern Health Sciences University serve a broad and diverse patient population, including members of the campus community, professional athletes, and individuals with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, as well as pediatric patients. Recognized for excellence in whole-person care, NWHSU operates clinics both on-campus and throughout the community, delivering trusted, personalized care across. These clinics range from academic settings that support the clinical education of student interns through supervised patient care to public-facing clinics that offer specialized services tailored to community needs.
Bloomington Clinic
The Bloomington Clinic is a public-facing, multi-disciplinary clinic, and the largest on campus, serving members of the public, from birth to advanced age with a variety of conditions. This clinic is open to the public and accepts most third party insurance, workers' compensation, personal injury insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and cash/self-pay for our services. Services include acupuncture and Chinese medicine, chiropractic care, massage therapy, x-ray services, student health coaching, orthotic ordering and fitting, as well as a clinical lab.
De Rusha Clinic
This is an on-campus academic clinic for intern NWHSU students under the supervision and guidance of clinicians. Students, faculty, staff, their families, as well as NWHSU alumni receive services at no cost or for a small administrative fee. The clinic offers chiropractic, x-ray, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, health coaching, orthotic ordering and fitting, as well as massage therapy services. Massage therapy is the only service open to the public.
TruNorth Vitality Clinic
The TruNorth Vitality Clinic is a public-facing, on-campus, multispecialty holistic health clinic focused on supporting activity, functional improvement, and well-being through age-related transitions. Services are tailored to individual goals and delivered by independent contractors within a collaborative, evidence-based model of complementary and integrative care. Offerings include acupuncture and Chinese medicine, chiropractic care, health coaching, and massage therapy through private appointments, as well as specialized group programs addressing topics such as perimenopause, menopause, and health-focused lifestyle change.
Integrative Clinic of Minnesota (ICM)
The Integrative Clinic of Minnesota is an off-campus academic clinic in south Minneapolis providing free integrative services to underserved, unhoused, and low-income people in the Steven’s Square neighborhood. The clinic is located within the Oshun Center at the Family Tree Clinic. Delivered by a team of students and providers in a collaborative environment this clinic offers chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, health coaching, and massage therapy services in partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School. This unique environment is the platform for a novel approach to bringing integrated health care to a vibrant, but underserved community, whose involvement and inclusion are integral to our mission.
The ZaRah Center
The ZaRah Center is an off-campus academic facility in north Minneapolis on Broadway Avenue. The ZaRah Center is owned by the Black Women’s Wealth Alliance and offers multiple holistic wellness services. The NWHSU free clinic there offers chiropractic and acupuncture and Chinese medicine services provided by students under the supervision of a licensed provider serving residents of the neighborhood and clients of the ZaRah Center.
Human Performance Center (HPC)
The Human Performance Center is an on-campus academic clinic offering specialized services for competitive and recreational athletes, including care for acute and chronic injuries, rehabilitation, injury prevention, performance testing, and strength and conditioning. Faculty clinicians, residents, and student interns also provide services such as pre-participation exams, concussion baseline screening, and sideline coverage, while supporting local and professional sports organizations. The center serves as a key academic resource, contributing to curriculum and instruction within sports-focused programs and providing hands-on clinical and research experiences for students across disciplines.
Radiologic Consulting Service (RCS)
The board-certified chiropractic radiologist team at Radiologic Consulting Services (RCS) has the knowledge and expertise to provide clients with clear, comprehensive radiology reports. RCS currently provides reads to Northwestern Health Sciences University clinics, private practice chiropractors, as well for chiropractic referrals for Rayus Radiology. Our radiologists understand the clinical practice of chiropractic and offer the level of detail that chiropractors want in their imaging reports.
