Associate of Applied Science in Therapeutic Massage

 

Curriculum Overview

The A.A.S. degree adds to the Therapeutic Massage Certificate by increasing professional skills as a healthcare professional and gives the graduate an edge in the massage industry. This edge comes from general education courses in communication, social sciences, and humanities. These courses provide additional preparation for inter-professional collaboration with other healthcare professionals. 

Graduation Requirements

The Associate of Applied Science in Therapeutic Massage Degree is granted to those candidates who have:

  1. Completed the required curriculum.
  2. Completed the required 62 total credits.
  3. Demonstrated competency in clinic and completed internship and field experience requirements;
  4. Successfully passed the written Comprehensive Exam;
  5. Earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better;
  6. Fulfilled all financial obligations to the University;
  7. Current First Aid and CPR certification.
