MTEL-1335 ADVANCED CLINICAL TECHNIQUES: WORKING WITH SCAR TISSUE AND SCARS


This class is designed for the massage therapist who is interested in working with scar tissue and scars.  Scars and scar tissue can form for different reasons including injury, surgery, and burns.  This class provides training for how to work with scars and scar tissue that forms for any of these reasons.  The student will leave the class with in-depth knowledge of scar and scar tissue formation as well as training in fascial techniques for working with both scars and scar tissue.  Information presented will include scar and scar tissue formation, wound healing, types of scars and reasons they form, the fascial system and fascial techniques, as well as discussion of the most common surgeries that clients/patients experience.
