College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Welcome to the College of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine!

The College of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine (CACM) includes two programs:  the Masters of Acupuncture and the Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization.  Both of our programs are designed to immerse you, the student, in both traditional Eastern medicine and modern Western medicine.  Every faculty member of each the college is deeply committed to helping students grow into confidant and capable practitioners.

The faculty and administration of the CACM recognize the importance of integration and cooperation within the healthcare system.  Our programs are designed to prepare students for those integrated environments.  We have created partnerships with the other colleges of NWHSU and external groups to increase opportunities and enhance the learning of our students.  By learning about, with and from each other, graduates of the CACM will be well prepared to enter the healthcare environments of the future.

Beyond your training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine, we strive to prepare you for your unique role as a member of a larger healthcare system and an integrative healthcare provider. We blend traditional wisdom and modern science to provide our students and our future practitioners with the tools needed to be an important voice in, and for, integrative medicine.  We accomplish this by embracing critical thinking and the scientific method as foundational to our programs.  We celebrate human diversity in all its forms and encourage our students to be actively engaged in their communities.

Your education in this medicine will last a lifetime and expose you to both great challenges and great joys that humans experience in their healthcare journey. It will allow you to take an active role in the physical, mental, and emotional health of the people that invite you along on their healthcare journey.

We look forward to you joining us in this exciting integrative approach to healthcare.

See you in class!
