Lab Requirements

 

Radiologic Sciences Lab Requirements:

Lab and clinic visits are part of your radiologic sciences education. Program expectations of the students regarding the use of lab and clinic equipment are:

  • Wear scrubs. No jeans or inappropriate/ revealing clothing, no open-toed shoes and no hats allowed.
  • Do not bring food into the lab
  • No cell phone usage in the lab
  • Handle the lab supplies and equipment with care
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the room and of the equipment
  • Always wear your radiation film badge (if applicable) and leave it in lab
  • Respect the fact that the equipment is capable of producing harmful ionizing radiation
  • Know and apply safety measures regarding the block making materials
  • Respect the time that other students need to practice their skills
  • Respect the confidentiality of patients in the clinical setting
  • Maintain professionalism with regard to behavior, cleanliness and appearance at all times.
