Lab Requirements

Radiologic Sciences Lab Requirements:

Lab and clinic visits are part of your radiologic sciences education. Program expectations of the students regarding the use of lab and clinic equipment are:

Wear scrubs. No jeans or inappropriate/ revealing clothing, no open-toed shoes and no hats allowed.
Do not bring food into the lab
No cell phone usage in the lab
Handle the lab supplies and equipment with care
Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the room and of the equipment
Always wear your radiation film badge (if applicable) and leave it in lab
Respect the fact that the equipment is capable of producing harmful ionizing radiation
Know and apply safety measures regarding the block making materials
Respect the time that other students need to practice their skills
Respect the confidentiality of patients in the clinical setting
Maintain professionalism with regard to behavior, cleanliness and appearance at all times.
