Lab Requirements
Radiologic Sciences Lab Requirements:
Lab and clinic visits are part of your radiologic sciences education. Program expectations of the students regarding the use of lab and clinic equipment are:
- Wear scrubs. No jeans or inappropriate/ revealing clothing, no open-toed shoes and no hats allowed.
- Do not bring food into the lab
- No cell phone usage in the lab
- Handle the lab supplies and equipment with care
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the room and of the equipment
- Always wear your radiation film badge (if applicable) and leave it in lab
- Respect the fact that the equipment is capable of producing harmful ionizing radiation
- Know and apply safety measures regarding the block making materials
- Respect the time that other students need to practice their skills
- Respect the confidentiality of patients in the clinical setting
- Maintain professionalism with regard to behavior, cleanliness and appearance at all times.
