RTH-2201 COMPUTER LITERACY AND RESEARCH METHODOLOGY IN RADIATION ONCOLOGY
Knowledge and competence with technology, computers and applications is an absolute requirement for success in any healthcare career. This course is designed to provide an introduction to computers and technology in the workplace. It will include basic concepts, vocabulary and an overview of computer hardware, software and peripherals. Students will become familiar with word-processing, spreadsheet and multimedia presentation applications throughout this course. Using this technology, this course includes an introduction to elements of the research process and protocols. Gathering and evaluation of information from multiple sources will be discussed, as well as the interpretation and application of results. Scientific research related to radiation therapy and cancer will be covered.
