ENG-1020 GRAPHIC MEDICINE
This course provides an introduction to the field of graphic medicine and its applications for health care practitioners. Graphic medicine combines graphic novels / comics / cartoons and health care topics, including patient and provider experiences as well as educational materials. Students will learn about the field of graphic medicine and will read, analyze, and create graphic medicine texts on topics including health practitioners’ experiences, veterans’ health, trauma, pregnancy and childbirth, cancer, AIDS, and mental health.
