Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Master of Health Science in Functional and Integrative Nutrition program will be able to:

  1. Generate whole-person, patient-centered nutrition care plans using functional and integrative medicine core principles.
  2. Effectively interpret and incorporate information from evidence-based reports and research to inform personalized treatment plans.
  3. Evaluate and apply business principles in the context of operating a successful integrative nutrition practice, medicine practice or within an organization.
  4. Integrate and apply nutrition, metabolism, clinical research, and culinary fundamentals into integrative medicine patient-care plans.
  5. Evaluate behavioral science models and integrate motivational psychology approaches in development of successful health plans and programs.
  6. Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to ongoing adherence to ethical and professional standards.
