RTH-1110 RADIOLOGIC PHYSICS

This course is designed to establish a basic knowledge of physics pertinent to developing an understanding of radiations used in the clinical setting.  Concepts presented will include atomic structure, electricity, electromagnetism, the production of   x-rays and its’ interaction with matter, and the fundamentals of x-ray generating equipment.    An overview of imaging modalities will be presented, with emphasis on fluoroscopy, CT and MRI/ PET and Ultrasound.
