The Clinics

Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) currently has 8 clinics and services operating in 2 states. The clinics serve a broad spectrum of patients from corporate clients to professional athletes, insured, Medicare, Medicaid, pediatrics, and the unhoused to mention a few. Most locations offer chiropractic services, but some also offer massage therapy, acupuncture and Chinese medicine (ACM), naturopathic medicine, nutrition, and lab services. Below is summary of services.

Bloomington Clinic

The Bloomington Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic, and the largest on campus, serving members of the public, from birth to advanced age with a variety of conditions. This clinic is open to the public and accepts most third party insurance, workers' compensation, personal injury insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and cash/self-pay for our services. Services include acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, chiropractic care, massage therapy, x-ray services, student health coaching, orthotic ordering and fitting, as well as a clinical lab.

The Bloomington Clinic care team involves hands-on care from interns in our Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine program, supervised by licensed acupuncturists and interns in our Doctor of Chiropractic program, under the close supervision of our licensed Doctors of Chiropractic.

De Rusha Clinic

This is an on-campus teaching clinic for intern NWHSU students under the supervision and guidance of clinicians. Students, faculty, staff, their families, as well as NWHSU alumni receive free or discounted services. The clinic offers chiropractic, x-ray, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, health coaching, orthotic ordering and fitting, as well as massage therapy services. Massage therapy is the only service open to the public.

The Sweere Clinic

 The Sweere Clinic is an on-campus multispecialty holistic health clinic focused on pain management and complex condition support. This cash-based clinic is staffed by independent contractors and leased space providers. This new clinic model offers x-ray and 3D CT Scanning, a variety of subspecialties of chiropractic such as NUCCA, Activator, and Animal chiropractic, as well as naturopathic care, counseling services, and acupuncture and Chinese medicine. The clinic is non-participating with Medicare and third party payers.

WorkSiteRight (WSR)

This a work site clinic wellness program and is focused on injury prevention and workers' compensation claims avoidance. The services are focused on onsite chiropractic, employee education and motivation, employer healthcare consulting, injury prevention, and ergonomic intervention. Clients are manufacturing centers.

Integrative Clinic of Minnesota (ICM)

The Integrative Clinic of Minnesota is an off-campus clinic in south Minneapolis providing free integrative services to underserved, unhoused, and low-income people in the Steven’s Square neighborhood. The clinic is located within the Oshun Center at the Family Tree Clinic. Delivered by a team of students and providers in a collaborative environment this clinic offers chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, health coaching, and massage therapy services in partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School.  This unique environment is the platform for a novel approach to bringing integrated health care to a vibrant, but underserved community, whose involvement and inclusion are integral to our mission.

The ZaRah Center

The ZaRah Center is an off-campus facility in north Minneapolis on Broadway Avenue. The ZaRah Center is owned by the Black Women’s Wealth Alliance and offers multiple holistic wellness services. The NWHSU free clinic there offers chiropractic and acupuncture and Chinese medicine services provided by students under the supervision of a licensed provider serving residents of the neighborhood and clients of the ZaRah Center.

Human Performance Center (HPC)

The Human Performance Center offers multiple specialty services, including a sport and performance clinic for competitive and recreational athletes whose needs include care for acute and chronic injuries, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Faculty clinicians, fellows and student interns also provide pre-participation examinations, concussion baseline screening, sideline coverage for local high schools and support for professional and amateur sports organizations. The HPC has agreements with a number of sports teams and organizations such as Minnesota NFL Alumni, Strike Ultimate, Cougars Ultimate, Minnesota Vixen, Minnesota Freeze, and more. 

The clinical specialists of the Human Performance Center also serve as a resource for the undergraduate, professional and post-graduate academic programs of the university by contributing curriculum content and providing instruction. The courses the HPC faculty instruct are part of the Sports Emphasis in the Doctor of Chiropractic Program and Acupuncture/Chinese Medicine program.  In addition, by offering opportunities to assist faculty clinicians and fellows in performance testing and patient care, students from all of the programs gain invaluable integrated clinical sports care and research experience.

The clinic also offers strength and conditioning services in group and individual settings which are offered to the NWHSU community and the public and serves De Rusha patients for active care.  

Radiologic Consulting Service (RCS)

The board-certified chiropractic radiologist team at Radiologic Consulting Services (RCS) has the knowledge and expertise to provide clients with clear, comprehensive radiology reports.  RCS currently provides reads to Northwestern Health Sciences University clinics, private practice chiropractors, as well for chiropractic referrals for Rayus Radiology. Our radiologists understand the clinical practice of chiropractic and offer the level of detail that chiropractors want in their imaging reports.
