MTEL-1380 CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

This is a skill-building course that will prepare students to apply corrective exercises in a rehabilitative or medical setting. Students will gain foundational knowledge of therapeutic exercise for muscle, posture, and gait correction. Students will learn to think critically about how to strengthen specific muscles to improve alignment, and to prevent and rehabilitate injuries. The primary focus of this course is on how to select, develop, and creatively apply appropriate exercises based on orthopedic assessment. This course complements the muscle, posture, and gait assessment skills learned in Orthopedic Care and Functional Anatomy.
