MLS-3150 ADVANCED BACTERIOLOGY
Topics examined include principles and practices of bacteriology and mycobacteriology. Principles of host defense and microbial virulence will be explored as well as clinical presentation, signs and symptoms, laboratory diagnosis, and treatment options. Infection control procedures, epidemiology, new and emerging infections and other Public Health issues are examined. Laboratory exercises designed to support the lecture content will be incorporated.
