Graduate Certificate in Functional Sports and Performance Nutrition
Curriculum Overview
This certificate program focuses on the foundations for peak human performance from a functional and integrative perspective. Students will learn how to personalize client-centered nutrition care plans using the core principles of functional and integrative medicine by effectively interpreting and incorporating evidence-based research to optimize the nutrition status, metabolism, and performance of the athlete. Students will also investigate behavioral science models and integrate motivational psychology approaches in the development of wellness plans and programs.
Graduation Requirements
The Graduate Certificate in Functional Sports and Performance Nutrition is granted to those candidates who have:
- a bachelor’s degree OR a professional degree OR enrolled in and are beyond the mid-point of a professional degree program in good standing;
- successfully completed 15 credits of required coursework;
- successfully completed all required coursework with a minimum 2.0 GPA or higher and passed all courses with a grade of C or higher
