MEDA-1110 MEDICAL ASSISTING 1

This course will introduce the basics of patient rooming and care. Students will learn how to obtain vital signs, assess hearing and vision, document patient information in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record), assist with physical examinations, and apply the concepts of medical asepsis and OSHA standards. Students will be introduced to the specialties of Gynecology, Prenatal Care, and Pediatrics.
