HPC-3000 EPISTEMOLOGY OF HEALTH
Epistemology is the study of ways of knowing. This course will explore various ways of thinking about disease, illness, well-being, and healing to generate comparison and analysis of health care perspectives. Students will gain appreciation for the many ways to understand and think about these topics through examination of various health-based knowledge systems (modern biomedical sciences, Indigenous sciences, Ayurveda, Chinese sciences, etc.). Through this process, students will also examine their own way of thinking and being.
