Certificate in Relaxation Massage
Curriculum Overview
The Certificate in Relaxation Massage prepares graduates to work effectively in a variety of settings including spas, salons, and franchises. Emphasis is placed on full-body relaxation techniques, which promote a client's health and well-being. Courses explore topics across a range of subjects including science, ethics, professionalism, and relaxation techniques. Clinical rotations provide the opportunity to practice techniques on real clients.
Graduation Requirements
The Certificate in Relaxation Massage is granted to those candidates who have:
- Completed the required curriculum with a grade of C or better.
- Completed the required 27 total credits.
- Demonstrated competency in clinic and completed internship and field experience requirements.
- Earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better.
- Successfully passed the written comprehensive exam.
