Certificate in Therapeutic Massage
Curriculum Overview
The Certificate in Therapeutic Massage prepares graduates to work effectively in clinical environments (e.g., hospitals, medical clinics, sports rehab centers, etc.) providing relief from pain and other symptoms of conditions such as sciatica, tendonitis, headache, and back pain. Courses build on relaxation massage approaches with clinically focused massage techniques. University-partnered community rotations provide a unique opportunity to serve and learn from diverse populations.
Graduation Requirements
The Certificate in Therapeutic Massage is granted to those candidates who have:
- Completed the required curriculum with a grade of C or better.
- Completed the required 43.5 total credits.
- Demonstrated competency in clinic and completed internship and field experience requirements.
- Earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better.
- Successfully passed the written comprehensive exam.
