PSY-3000 PSYCHOLOGY OF ADDICTION

This course explores addiction concepts from a psychological perspective. Psychological, pharmacological, and sociocultural considerations facilitate understanding of addiction’s impact on the brain, emotion, cognition, and relationships. The role of societal influence on views of addiction, treatment, and recovery and disparities in access to care are addressed.
