Radiologic Sciences Student Handbook

Grade and Graduation Requirements

Grade Requirements:

Grading:

Remember that an average grade of C is mandatory for a passing grade for each RAD or RTH core course.

Grade Scale Radiologic Technology

(Grade percentages will not be rounded.)

  • All Radiologic Science (RAD or RTH) core courses require a grade of 78% (C) or higher to pass.
  • A student is allowed to repeat the same radiologic science core course only once (these are courses that begin with RAD or RTH). If a core course is not successfully completed after taking it a second time, the program director will schedule a meeting with the student and that student may be referred to the Dean of the College of Health and Wellness with a recommendation for program dismissal.
  • The Radiologic Science Programs also requires a passing grade in all General Education courses. These courses MUST be repeated if a passing grade is not attained.
  • Blended lecture and lab course. 78% needs to be achieved in both lecture and lab. If either section is failed, a student will be required to repeat both sections of the course.

Students have the right to appeal decisions made by the Radiologic Science Program by following the appeals process (see Academic Catalog). Appeals should begin with the Program Director who can assist you with the process.
