Professional Associations
As a developing professional it is recommended that students in any radiologic science programs join a professional organizations.
The MSRT, Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists is our state professional society. (www.mnsrt.com)
The ASRT, American Society of Radiologic Technologists is the national professional society. (www.ASRT.org) Membership can be obtained at the “student” rate up to six months before the completion of the program. Student applications must include verification of “student” status from the radiation therapy department chair.
Scholarship information is available through the ASRT website.
These organizations have annual conferences and/or professional journals that offer additional educational opportunities for students and job placement information.
