INCR-6113 FOUNDATIONS OF INTEGRATIVE HEALTH AND WELLBEING COACHING PART 2

This course builds upon and strengthens the foundations of health and wellbeing coaching. The course will define coaching as a profession, standardized by the National board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC). Learner's study and practice the health pillars, behavior change theories and wellbeing practices of the coaching process. Learners participate in recurrent peer-coaching weekly to practice applying tools, skills and utilize resources for effective health and wellbeing coaching. How to best approach coaching clients with situations of greater complexity will be considered. Skill building will occur through weekly practice with a small peer group. Final skills will be assessed through a demonstration of coaching with a non-peer volunteer. Personal self-awareness and development will continue to be encouraged. Being coached by outside professionals (for at least 2 hrs. this term) is recommended and we have coaches who are willing to provide such services at a discount for learners.
