Graduate Certificate in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching

Curriculum Overview

This certificate is a five course online series, two of which are fully asynchronous and three of which are a combination of required synchronous and asynchronous components. Four courses are designed as seven-week intensives, and the final course is a 15-week practicum, providing learners with all the practice sessions needed to become eligible for national board certification by National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).

The Graduate Certificate in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching equips integrative health coaches to walk side by side with their clients to find greater wellbeing through:

  • Viewing every client as an intrinsically healthy, whole, and expert in their own healing journey
  • Facilitating the client’s process by aligning lifestyle and behavior choices with values
  • Partnering with clients to identify stages of change and optimize goal setting
  • Interfacing with a wide range of interdisciplinary healthcare providers
  • Educating clients in a variety of self-care practices

Applicants meeting the following criteria may be considered for admission:

  • earned a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution;
  • have a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average or submit a “letter of special circumstances,” if below a 2.75

Graduation Requirements

The Graduate Certificate in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching is granted to those candidates who have:

  • completed the required 15-credit curriculum;
  • successfully completed all required coursework with a minimum 2.0 GPA or higher and passed all courses with a grade of C or higher
