As a developing professional it is recommended that students join a professional organization.

The AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) is the national professional society for medical assistants. (www.aama-ntl.org). Student membership is discounted.

This organization has annual conferences and/or professional journals that offer additional educational opportunities for students and job placement information. Applications for this organization are available through the AAMA website.
