ARRT Registry Exam Requirements

 

As stated in the Department of Health Ionizing Radiation Rules chapter 4730.5500, any individual who takes x-rays in the state of Minnesota must be a registered Radiologic Technologist, X-ray Operator, Physician, Dentist, Dental Hygienist/Assistant, Chiropractor or Radiologic Technology student on clinical training from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Students working in radiology as paid technical assistants (not during clinical training time) are NOT allowed to take x- rays unless they have passed the x-ray operator’s exam.

 

We advise RT students to apply for the registry exam one month prior to completing their clinical training.
